FROM WWW.GAME WINNERS.COM
POKEMON HISTORY Pokemon was created in 1996 by Nintendo for their best selling portable video game system, “Game Boy”. Originally released in Japan, Pokemon are a class of unique little Pocket Monsters that battle each other when instructed to do so by their trainer. The original term for Pokemon was “Poketto Monstaa”, the coined Japanese term for Pocket Monster. Soon the Japanese shortened the name to “Pokemon”. A Japanese game designer named Satoshi Tajiri invented Pokemon based on childhood memories of collecting bugs in jars and wishing he could make them fight like the monsters in his favorite science fiction movies. The game was so intricate that it took Tajiri six years to develop the Pokemon game. Once released, the rest is history. The overwhelming popularity of the game prompted the creation of a Japanese Pokemon television series and a Japanese Pokemon CollectibleTrading Card Game, both of which also became tremendous successes.  The Pokemon phenomenon began in the U.S. in 1998 with the release of the original Red and Blue Game Boy games, the debut of the animated Pokemon television series on Warner Brothers, and the release of the English version of the Pokemon Trading Cards. The Pokemon television series immediately catapulted Kids Warner Brothers to the top of the cable ratings for kids shows. According to a February 2001 Nintendo press release, the Pokemon television show continued to be ranked No. 1 among kids 2 to 11, and among boys 6 to 11. Warner Brothers also released the first three big screen animated Pokemon feature films in North America: “Pokemon: The First Movie”, also known as “Pokemon The Movie: Mewtwo Strikes Back” (released in 1999), “Pokemon The Movie: 2000”, and “Pokemon 3 the Movie (2001)”.  For those of you unfamiliar with Pokemon, they are creatures who possess unique powers or special abilities. In the Pokemon world, human beings act as Pokemon trainers and capture as many of the Pokemon creatures as they can. The captured Pokemon then join the trainer’s team and help them capture other Pokemon, enabling the trainers to become “Pokemon Masters”. Pokemon battles have a rigid code of rules that do not allow dirty tricks or easy ways out. Also, Pokemon battles never end with a creature’s death. The successful end to a Pokemon match occurs when one of the battling monsters faints and is rushed to a Pokemon Center for recovery, or when it is captured by a trainer and put in a ball called the Poke Ball. Lastly, the Pokemon storyline encourages cooperation and teamwork.  Some interesting statistics from Nintendo on Pokemon interactive video games:  · During Pokemon’s first 24 months of availability in the United States, Nintendo of America reported a total sales of 20 million Pokemon video games for Game Boy Color and Nintendo 64.  · Six of the industry’s 10 top-selling video games in 2000 were Pokemon titles.  · Seven Pokemon titles were responsible for 10 percent of all software units sold in year 2000.  · As of February 2000, there were 12 Pokemon games for both Nintendo 64 and Game Boy.  · As of February 2000, nearly 27 million Pokemon games had been sold in the United States and more than 74 million Pokemon games had been sold worldwide.  Pokemon continues to be an outstanding entertainment and retail property in today’s international market. Its success can be attributed to Pokemon’s incredible appeal to children from diverse cultures and across sex and age barriers. Although originally designed for adolescent boys, Pokemon’s popularity quickly spread to include girls, elementary age school children and even preschoolers. As summarized by Galil Tilden, Nintendo’s Vice President, “Pokemon is much more than a phenomenon - It’s now a children’s entertainment staple here in America and globally… From the video games, to the toys, to the TV series, Pokemon’s staying power is evident in its multifaceted appeal to its broad fan base."

How to Catch Latias/Latios- No Master Balls

Platform: GameBoy Advance

Okay, this one is easy. First you need a trapinch with Arena Trap, you can test this in the desert.when you encounter it try to run away. if you do run it wasn't worth catching anyway. if you arent able to run , than try to catch it. because it knows ArenaTrap. raise it to at least lv.40 (without evolving it!) and then try to find Latias/Latios. it will try to run, but it cant! lower its HP andthen catch it with an Ultra Ball when it gets low enough without fainting. it worked for me!)

Then go to the left of pacificlog and surf down to the lowest part of the rapids that sticks out and take it to and island and keed jumping islands but stay to the lower part of the rapids. when you get to part that you can use dive on use it and go to the end where the brail is(It sais Go Up) use dive and go to the back of the cave and use a pokemon that knows dig and dig where the brail in the back is. when you get to the back room put Relicanth as your first pokemon and wailord as your last pokemon then it will say " You hear a distant door open" Then go get the regis.
BRING LOTS OF ULTRA BALLS AND TIMERBALLS!

Regirock:
Go to the dessert where you get the fossils and go to the lowest part of the dessert and in the middle rock, go to the back middle of the room read the text and go right, right, down, down and use strenght.
You found Regirock and you might want to save

Registeel:
Go to Fortree City and go right and down to the bottom of the route where a girl gives you a berry and go up the stairs and thrue the tall grass and into the middle rock(du). Go to the vary middle of the room and use fly and you found registeel REMEMBER TO SAVE.

REGICE:
go to Petalburg city and go left to the water and surf down to the rocks and find an opening in and go up to the seven rocks(DU) go in and read the text and just keep A for like 2-5 minutes, you just found regice.

The best way to get all three is get a Zangoose up till it learns False slash or something like tha and weaken them till there in the red zone and use false slash and dont atack it again because it only has 1 hp left then use ultra balls and timer balls over and over untill it stays in.

How to get a Dragon Scale

Platform: GameBoy Advance

To get a Dragon scale (it is used to evolve Seadra into kingdra) you have to either find a horsea or bagon. Horseas are left of Pacifidlog where the currents are (you have to fish). Bagons are in the back cave in Meteor falls. When you find a horsea/bagon it MAY be holding a dragon scale. Use theif, covet, or catch the bagon or horsea to obtain the dragon scale. I recommend finding bagon because it is more common for it to be holding a dragon scale. Once you get the dragon scale give it to your seadra and trade it with a friend or another version (ruby or sapphire) to get a Kingdra.

Latios/Latias without Master Ball

Platform: GameBoy Advance

Okay when u see Lati?s im reffering to both Latios and Latias.

To start off with be sure you have a golbat, a surf pokemon, a rocksmash pokemon and a fly pokemon. Make sure the golbat knows Confuse ray and Meanlook, and make sure you have alot of ultra balls and Hyper potions.

Lati?s will always be changing it's location everytime you enter/leave a house/building or a city/route. Make sure you calculate where it's going to run off to! oh and it will also be in every patch of grass so search everywhere!

Once you find it (either on water or normal grass), make sure Golbat is your first pokemon. As your first attack, use mean look. Now you use Confuse ray. once you use Confuse ray, it will attack itself from time tro time. use this to your advantage and toss Ultra balls at it. be careful! it will use Phychic or Luster purge (for Latios) and it will badly damage Golbat. So use Hyper potion. Also keep it confused until its health is red or yellow. STOP once it reaches that low. now it is a completly item battle now. If you dont catch it and your golbat faints, then stock up again and repeat the steps until you catch it. (this is how I caught mine!)
